The estate is also conveniently accessible to cities abundant with cultural activity and awash in the colorful history of the Languedoc like Carcassone, Béziers and Narbonne. Also very close by are numerous charming villages like Minerve and Olargues where one can be immersed in surroundings that have not changed much since they were founded around the Middle Ages. There is a multitude of regional markets; brocantes; wine tasting; and above all, an abundance of magnificent natural attractions all within a short driving distance.

We enjoy the special privilege of the climate of the mountainous Mediterranean and as a consequence our summer days are generally pleasantly warm with occasional cooler and more humid spells. Our experience has been that the months of May, June, September and October offer the most idyllic hiking weather.

For the avid hiker the region is ideal. Several outstanding hiking trails, ranging in intensity from 20 minutes up to 6 hours, issue directly from the domaine. Whether enjoying a short walk or a daylong hike, the breathtaking views as well as the unique and diverse flora and fauna of the region will enchant you. Canoeing and horseback riding are also easily accessible in the neighborhood and the Mediterranean Sea is just an hour drive away.
